It’s been a busy week in the blogging community, with lots of amazing posts – here are some of our favourites that you might have missed.
Of course, the big story this week was CyberMummy, the UK’s first ever conference for parent bloggers, which took place in London last weekend. If you weren’t able to make it, then check out
this post from Susanna Scott, mastermind behind the event, and the included links to many of the posts written about CyberMummy by people who attended.
One post from the event I think is definitely worth checking out is this
post from Pippa at A Mother’s Ramblings, which is all about the
CyberMummy session on
blog
site design, with loads of advice on improving the look and
usability of your blog.
The second big story in parent blogging this week isn’t even about technology, but I hope you don’t mind me including it here – a group of parent bloggers just finished walking Hadrian’s Wall, raising money for charity. Dan from
All That Comes With It has worked tirelessly for 18 months organising the event, and you can read more about it on his blog, and discover the story behind the
Joseph Salmon Trust on their website. Do consider making a donation if you’re able.
Claire at Being a Mummy, one of the UK’s top Mummy blogs, has written a
guide to successful blogging, which is packed with great tips on blogging well and staying sane.
Having recently disposed of two defunct Macbooks (sob) I was really interested to read this post last week from Fab Mums, about
how to dispose of old computers in a more ethical fashion
Finally, I hope it’s not too 'yay me!' to include one of my own blogs here – a guide to understanding and making use of
blog statistics for those of who don’t speak fluent geek!
