I've got a question on security. I used Windows remote desktop to connect to a pc at home from work. my password is a 26 character alpha-numeric-symbol combination. Am I being overly paranoid, as its a pain in the proverbial to type in every time I want to log in remotely :)
Hi Alex,

Whilst it might be a pain to type out a long password, it always pays to be careful with access to any computer, especially one that's likely to contain sensitive work and personal data.

So in short, it's wise to use a password that is going to be as difficult to second-guess as possible.

Best,

Matt

When I post images online from a stock image website, I know from my traffic that the images are routinely showing up in Google Image searches - is there a way to stop your images showing up in Google? Or to stop someone linking to it on their own site? I have seen with news sites sometimes they have nabbed the image from someone else and the image is blank with a "This image is stolen" message - I think that looks really fun. How can I do it?
Hi Sally,

My understanding is that the way to do this would vary depending on the platform you are hosting the image on - is it a blogging platform you're referring to?

Best,

Matt

...furthermore - you can disallow robots from search engines to crawl images (which is how they may be picking them up) and you can prevent a third-party website from hotlinking your images.

It’s a fairly simple process but as I said earlier, best to check with the platform you are using.
Hey Sally, if you're talking with regards to your Wordpress install, there are several plugins that stop hotlinking. This one, http://regentware.com/software/web-based/wordpress-plugins/hotlink-... gets 4/5 on user scores so will probably do the trick.
